How long should a session be?

Length is usually decided by what is available on the calendar, which is the worst possible input.

What is the ceiling for a live virtual session?

90 minutes, with a real break at 45 if you use the full time. Past that, retention drops faster than the content gets delivered, and people start leaving for other meetings anyway.

For clinical, shift or frontline staff, 45 minutes is the practical ceiling.

Is a full day session ever right?

In person, yes, for build work where the output is the point. Virtually, almost never. A day split into four sessions across four weeks produces more change than a single day, because people practice between them.

That spacing is why the programs here run weekly rather than as a single intensive.

What happens when I run long?

You teach the room that your stated times are not real, which raises the cost of attending your next session. People will hold a buffer, arrive late or decline.

Ending five minutes early is the cheapest credibility you will ever buy.

How do I fit the content into less time?

Cut to the behavior. Anything that does not move the one thing you want different on Monday is context, and context can be a page they read later.

Most sessions carry about a third more content than the goal requires.
