Privacy policy
Last updated October 22, 2026
Online Facilitation Skills is a brand of Urban Human Resources ("we", "us"), an HR consulting practice based in Oakland, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect through onlinefacilitationskills.com, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a consult, send a note or join a program list, we collect what you submit: your name, email address, and what you tell us about your situation or organization.
Scheduling. Consults are booked through Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects the name, email address and any answers you give on its own booking page, under its own privacy policy, and sends them to us.
Technical information. Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and pages visited, and uses it to deliver and secure the site.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, to understand how the site is used. It collects page views, session activity, device and browser type, referral source and approximate location, in aggregated or pseudonymous form. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses and uses them briefly to derive location. Zaraz passes the visitor's IP address to Google for that purpose. Google Analytics ordinarily sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, and Zaraz may store its own first-party cookie or browser storage entry. We send three custom events, consult_click when you click a link to book a consult on Calendly, form_submit when you submit a form, and book_course_click when you click the Book a course button, which also sends the path of the page you were on. None of them sends what you typed. We have linked Google Search Console to Analytics, which adds the search queries that led people to the site. It does not add visitor tracking. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking scripts in your browser. This site shows no cookie consent banner.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Our analytics do not currently change their behavior when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Use the opt-out add-on above or your browser's blocking settings to stop analytics. Third parties that may collect information about your visit are Google (analytics, as described above), Calendly when you open its booking page, and Stripe when you pay.
Spanish pages. Spanish is offered two ways. A small set of pages is written in Spanish by me and hosted here, under this policy. The Español link on other pages opens a Google Translate version of the page. Google serves that version, and your visit to it is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Where you came from. When you arrive from a tagged link, your browser stores that source locally on your own device for 90 days and attaches it to any form you submit or consult you book, so we know which channel a request came from. It is stored in your browser, not in a cookie set for advertising, it is never shared with an ad network, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
Event registration. Free live sessions are registered through Eventbrite. When you register, Eventbrite collects your name, email address and any answers you give on its own registration page, under its own privacy policy, and shares them with us as the organizer. We use them to send the session details and the replay link. Zoom, which hosts the live session, receives what you enter to join, under its own privacy policy.
Payments and merchandise. Card payments for courses and merchandise are taken by Stripe on its own checkout page. Stripe collects your card details, billing information and, for merchandise, your shipping address and size, under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store card numbers. For merchandise, your name, shipping address and order details go to Printful, which prints and ships the order.
2. How we use it
To respond to you and schedule consults, to tell you when a program opens if you asked to hear, to run programs and deliver what you purchase, to keep records required for tax and legal purposes, and to operate and secure the site.
3. Who we share it with
Only service providers who need it to run the practice, and only for that purpose: our website host and content delivery network (Cloudflare), email provider, scheduling tool (Calendly), payment processor (Stripe), merchandise fulfillment (Printful), event registration (Eventbrite), live sessions (Zoom) and file storage. Google also receives the analytics data described in section 1. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
4. Confidentiality and AI
What you share in a consult or a session stays confidential. We use AI tools to support research, drafting and operations. When your information passes through those tools, it stays under the same confidentiality: we use accounts configured so it is not used to train public models, and every final decision and deliverable is reviewed by a person.
5. How long we keep it
Messages sent through the site are deleted after twelve months unless they become an engagement. Program list sign-ups are kept until you ask to be removed. Analytics event and user data are kept for 14 months. Transaction records are kept for seven years for tax purposes.
6. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Email info@onlinefacilitationskills.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before acting.
7. Security, children and changes
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted transmission. No method is completely secure. The site is not directed to children under 16. We review this policy at least once a year, and if it changes, the date above changes with it.
